SUMMER SHOWS AND EVENTS 2009

We are 100 yards from The Britannia Pier Theatre. This season starts on the 4th of July. The World famous Great Yarmouth Hippodrome Circus main summer season starts mid July.

Also on are Area 51, Terry Reid in Residence, Imagination,  Made in Britain legends return, and Dance Estelle.

Showtime - The summer season Show from Gypsy Productions, Back again to stage the longest running Summer Season with a Seaside Burlesque Musical offering two hours of top quality family entertainment with singers, dancers, comedian and full supporting cast over seen by your worthy Chairman Starts on Tues 5th of May till 7th October. OUtTHERE INTERNATIONAL ART FESTIVAL

A new International festival for Great Yarmouth. ‘OutThere’ took take place in the half-term week of October 25th to November 2nd 2008, combining international, UK, regional and local cultural practitioners and groups, public performance and spectacular street shows, projections and illuminations, venue based events, music, dance, theatre, film, circus, an international food festival and wide range of participatory and spectator experiences crossing the arts, sports, heritage, culture and education. London Hotels

The new parking permit scheme for Great Yarmouth came in to effect on the 1st of Feb 2007. This effects a large area near the hotel and most of the tourist area of Great Yarmouth. Basically there is some 24 hour parking and the rest requires a permit. We have obtained some visitor permits already. The scheme is only in effect from 8am to 6pm. The wardens are not usually here too early. So for overnight visits it is not a problem. For longer stays please check the best arrival time for a spot. We also have access to an area not in the scheme. There are changes planned for 2009, we will keep you updated here as we find out the changes.

As always you are welcome to give us the keys and we will park your car and move it if necessary. that's what they cost us to replace. This is not required for pre-booked accommodation where we hold your card details. A signed receipt is required for all permits. We also have some day permits as well which do not require a deposit.

The UK is now Smoke free!! - What's happening at the Trevross Hotel.

We believe in freedom and choice. If you want to smoke then that is entirely up to you. But if you do not smoke you should not be affected by second hand smoke. We agree with the new law and the Trevross Hotel will allow smoking in your bedroom. The Trevross does not allow smoking in the common areas, halls, landings, stairs etc and now we do not allow smoking in the resident lounge. You CAN smoke in your bedroom or out side the hotel. We use special odour neutralisers and air refreshers throughout the hotel to avoid any unpleasant smells.

We introduced some Non Smoking rooms for 2008. These rooms have been completely redecorated and are now designated no smoking. We are adding some more for 2009 - Please feel free to ask for either a smoking room or Non smoking room.

The New East Port Outer Harbour Development

It was announced in late May 2007 that Eastport The new £85M outer harbour development was starting in summer 2007. Scheduled to take 18 to 24 months to build this massive project will greatly increase the business climate of Great Yarmouth. It will now complete in Summer 2009. This will put some pressure on the transport structure until the 3rd river crossing and other road improvements are completed but will improve the area greatly. However whilst in construction there will be a shortage of rooms in the area as the workers will have to be accommodated. Many seasonal hotels and guest houses are planning to take workers for the duration of the build at the expense of the tourists. At the Trevross Hotel we have decided to take a balanced view. Many workers will only be here during the week so this will not effect our weekender traffic, also we do not plan to take long term workers at the expense of the summer season tourists. We have gained many friends and regulars and we aim to build on this.

Great Yarmouth wins a provisional Regional casino Licence

The government has green lighted our regional casino. This will be a all round attraction and will add to our existing entertainment provisions. ALSO the Palace Bingo hall has completed a multi Million pound redevelopment to become the first smaller Casino in the area and is now open. The first planning application for a regional casino is now in and it is expected that the winning bid will be announced within 2 years.

Great Yarmouth is currently undergoing a major investment of £16.5m via the www.integreatyarmouth.org.uk project with funding from the EU, EEDA & the Lottery. During winter 2006 the road system near the hotel changed as Regent Road is now pedestrianised and part of the seafront was revamped. The main phase was completed by Whitsun 2006. The second phase, was started in September 2006 extended the new style seafront from Britannia pier to St peters road & was completed by Easter 2007. The final phase extending the scheme the rest of the way down the seafront towards the Pleasure Beach has now finished.

Great Yarmouth is Great again and we will keep you posted on the developments here.

We buy our breakfasts from him and you can go and have breakfast when you like!!! So you can have an early one and go off for the day, OR have a late nite and have a late breakfast and a late check out!"

Our Pet Policy. We love pets, boiled, fried or roasted. We are happy to accept pets. We charge a deposit which is fully refundable in the event the pet doesn't decide to leave a deposit of its own!

Persons with disabilities are welcome and are more than willing to assist. We would point out that we have no ground floor rooms or lift. If you require a first floor room please ask when booking.

FREE Pickups. We are very happy to pick you up by prior arrangement at the Coach, Train or bus stations. Just let us know and we will be there. Our main car can take 4 passengers and loads of luggage. We have a secondary car if needed. (check our terms page for more info)

Our cheap rates start from £15 per person per night for room only booking depending on the time of year and length of stay.  We offer discounts for longer stays. We have a travel cot and a put up bed which can be used in emergencies and for children, we do not usually charge extra for this.
